Voting now open for your member-elected Trustee Director

A feature of the Westpac New Zealand Staff Superannuation Scheme (Scheme) is your ability as an active member to have a say in how it is managed.

We received ten nominations in response to the three week call for nominations period that closed on 7 November 2025. It is a great response and encouraging to see members express interest in having an active voice in how your Staff Super Scheme is managed.

The Scheme is managed by a trustee company (Trustee), in accordance with the Scheme’s Trustee Deed. The Trust Deed requires the Trustee to have seven directors (Trustee Directors). Two Trustee Directors are chosen by you, the members, and the remaining five are appointed by Westpac (including one who is an independent trustee licenced by the Financial Markets Authority). You can read about all the current Trustee Directors here. You can also read a summary of the role and duties of a Trustee Director here.

The Scheme is currently looking for one member-elected Trustee Director to join the board of Trustee Directors from 1 January 2026.
