Trustee election 

On behalf of all the Trustee Directors I would like to congratulate Jo McGregor for being re-elected as one of the two member-elected Trustee Directors for a second consecutive 3-year term.

Jo joined Westpac in 2005 and since then she held roles in Finance, Products and most recently in Distribution. Currently Jo is Head of Operational Excellence, Consumer Banking and Wealth.

Jo said “I would like to demystify what happens to our money when investing in superannuation funds such as our own In-Tandem scheme and KiwiSaver.  My mission is to simplify the complexity of funds management, so that our members can understand how we are investing for their future.”

Jo is also a strong advocate of flexible working. “Without this, I would have given up trying to juggle career and family a long time ago.  Having said that, it is always a two way street and compromise has played an important part in making this work for both myself and Westpac over the years.”

We’d also like to thank all of you who have put their hand up or have been nominated to take on this important role.

With the transition to the Financial Markets Conduct Act regime being complete, the role and responsibilities of the Trustee Directors has become greater.
